NPP thinks Eastern region is their stronghold so they’ve neglected them
Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has expressed concerns over the utter neglect of the Eastern Region by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He says since the region is the stronghold of the political party, they have decided not to commit any resources to its development.
What’s even sad is the fact that projects which were started by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been abandoned.
“The Eastern Region is the stronghold of the NPP and because they have been voting for them, they do not see reason to commit resources to develop the place. All the roads I used are in very deplorable states.
What’s even worrying is that they abandoned the projects we started in the region. You’ll go to some schools and the buildings we started have been abandoned, among others,” he said in an interview on Sunrise Radio.
The former President seeking another term in office indicated that with the reception received in the Eastern Region indicates that the people have learnt their lessons and are willing to change and try something else.
