NPP’s Alex Tetteh rain curses on Atta Akyea

A member of the communications team for NPP flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong, Alex Tetteh, has performed traditional rites to invoke curses against former Abuakwa South MP, Samuel Atta Akyea, over a disputed claim about a past meeting.

The rites were performed on Thursday, December 18, 2025, after Atta Akyea publicly denied claims that he met Kennedy Agyapong at Heathrow Airport in London in 2016.

Kennedy Agyapong had alleged that Atta Akyea made uncomplimentary remarks about then presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the alleged meeting.

While pouring libation with bottles of schnapps, Tetteh said the ritual was meant to summon spiritual consequences if Atta Akyea was deliberately denying a meeting he knew had taken place.

He stated that if Agyapong’s account of the Heathrow encounter was true and Atta Akyea was refuting it to damage the reputation of the flagbearer hopeful, then the curses invoked should take effect on him and those close to him.

Describing Atta Akyea’s denial as provocative, Tetteh also slaughtered a lamb as part of the ritual, insisting it was unacceptable for someone to meet another person and later go on television to deny it.

He further extended the invocation to individuals he accused of spreading falsehoods about Agyapong, warning against attempts to tarnish the politician’s image.

The issue began earlier in the week when Agyapong alleged on UTV that Atta Akyea had spoken negatively about former President Akufo-Addo during a conversation at Heathrow Airport.

However, Atta Akyea, speaking on the same station on Wednesday, dismissed the claim as false, stating that he had never met Agyapong at Heathrow Airport or discussed the former President with him.

He described the allegation as a “baseless lie” and said he had no recollection of such an encounter, referring to Agyapong by his nickname, “Akompreko.”

Atta Akyea added that even if such a meeting had occurred and comments were made, publicly disclosing a private conversation would raise concerns about Agyapong’s character and ability to keep matters confidential.

To support his denial, the former Minister for Works and Housing challenged Agyapong to produce documentary evidence and called on both of them to present their passports to confirm whether they were at Heathrow Airport at the same time.

He maintained that no such meeting ever took place and reiterated that he had never discussed Nana Akufo-Addo with Agyapong at Heathrow Airport…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
