Old video of Daddy Lumba eulogises his first girlfriend Theresa causes emotion online

The late Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, once shared heartfelt memories of his first girlfriend, Theresa Abebrese, and the significant role she played in his life.

In a video posted months ago on his official YouTube channel, Lumba credited much of his success to Theresa’s unwavering support during his early years.

He explained that the inspiration behind his iconic song Theresa came from their relationship and the many sacrifices she made for him. Lumba recounted that they met in the 1980s while attending Juaben Senior High School in the Ashanti Region.

Although he was known to be a quiet but brilliant student, it was Theresa who noticed him and initiated their friendship.
