Once we have life, we have everything – Kennedy Agyapong concedes

Veteran politician and businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has conceded defeat in the closely contested New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary and has urged his disappointed supporters to remain calm, keep hope alive, and unite behind the party for future contests.

Speaking to members of his campaign team, particularly “Team Ken,” shortly after provisional results showed a strong lead for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr Agyapong expressed gratitude to his supporters for their efforts and encouraged them not to allow disappointment to create division.

“I know most of you are dejected. You have to keep your spirit up, because once we have life, we have everything. So don’t be dejected,” he said, referencing his experience as a “veteran politician” who has faced several defeats in the past.
