Panic as lady allegedly going for vigil dies after arriving at boyfriend’s house

NIGERIA – Osun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who died in the home of her boyfriend, Yinka, in Esa-Oke, Osun State.

According to sources in the community, Bidemi had arrived at Yinka’s house on Friday evening but suddenly fell ill and died shortly afterward.

The incident, which happened around 9:30 pm, caused panic in the area, with many residents rushing to Yinka’s home in the Oke Esa area as news of the tragedy spread.

A resident, who gave her name as Taye, said Bidemi died not long after arriving at her boyfriend’s house.
“We heard someone crying for help and rushed to Yinka’s house. By the time I got there, many people had already gathered,” she said.
“There were some security personnel present, but the crowd was very large, and it was already late in the night. The deceased was believed to have been on her way to a Friday vigil before this happened. She usually attends vigils every Friday. The police have arrested the boyfriend, and he is currently in their custody.”

When contacted, Osun Police Command spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident, stating that it was reported to the police on Saturday.

“The death occurred on Friday. The deceased, Bidemi Omole, went to her boyfriend’s house in Esa-Oke,” Ojelabi said.

“According to what the boyfriend told us, the deceased fell ill after arriving and began vomiting. She was rushed to a hospital, but she died on the way. The suspect is in police custody, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.”…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
