The people of Volta feel disrespected by an apparent move by former President John Mahama to pick a running mate from Central region, Efo Emmanuel Avidor has said.
Speaking on Western Diamond TV over the weekend, Efo Emmanuel Avidor accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of treating the people of Volta region as “political prostitutes”.
“Mahama considers the volta region as political prostitutes. If Mahama says he respects Ewes, he should go and bring a running mate from the region”, he said.
Unlike the NDC, he explained that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made it clear the person to partner Dr. Bawumia for the 2024 election will be picked from the Ashanti region.
“We are also looking at Mahama, if he respects us he should pick a running mate from Volta region…we also have equal people Doe Ajaho and when it comes to the youth we have Defamakpor”, he noted.
