PHOTOS: Helicopter burnt after crash at Adansi Brofoyedu; dismembered body parts were recovered

A tragic helicopter crash has occurred at Adansi Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region, leaving the aircraft completely engulfed in flames and destroyed beyond recognition.

The incident took place on the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

According to reports, the helicopter—known to operate the Accra–Obuasi route every Wednesday—crashed into a tree under unclear circumstances.

Matthew Baah, the Assembly Member for the area, confirmed the news in an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo Is Tasty. He said he was working on his farm when he received a distress call.

“After the crash, there was total silence. When residents rushed to the scene, they found the helicopter ablaze,” he recounted.

Initial reports indicate that four individuals may have been aboard the aircraft, as dismembered body parts were discovered at the site. However, the victims’ identities have yet to be confirmed.

While the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, Mr. Baah mentioned that poor weather conditions may have played a role in the accident.
