Player Chelsea sold for €20m now valued at €32m and rising.

Christian Pulisic is having a great season at AC Milan.

After leaving Chelsea in the summer for reportedly just €20m, he’s racked up 9 goals and 6 assists in 27 games, he’s overcome his injury problems, and his team sit second.

Transfermarkt already has his value up at €32m. By the end of the season it could easily have hit €45m if he keeps scoring.

If he hadn’t been coming to the end of his contract, we could have sent him on loan and raised his sale value massively. The same will be the case with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who also joined Milan in the summer.

Of course that was never on the cards – the club needed fast money, instant liquidity. But it’s another cautionary tale about how important it is to buy low and sell high. If you do it the other way around, as we have here, you lose out twice over.
