President Mahama asked to sack these two ministers

Security analyst Andrews Asiedu Tetteh has called for the immediate dismissal of Interior Minister Mohammed Muntaka-Mubarak and Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, citing what he described as their lack of competence in handling Ghana’s worsening security situation.

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Tetteh criticised both ministers for failing to provide effective leadership since their appointments. He expressed particular concern about the surge in violent crimes and recent cases of missing persons being found dead, which he said point to the Interior Ministry’s inability to maintain public safety.

While acknowledging Muntaka-Mubarak’s political experience, Tetteh argued that such skills do not translate into effective management of national security. “The Interior Ministry needs a comprehensive overhaul,” he said, “especially when violent crimes and ritual killings are becoming far too frequent.”

Turning his attention to the renewed violence in Bawku, Tetteh described the situation as deeply troubling. He noted that the conflict now bears signs of terrorist activity and warned that failure to act decisively could worsen matters in the next five months.

Tetteh was also critical of Defence Minister Dr. Omane Boamah, accusing him of making statements that show a limited grasp of core security issues. He urged President John Mahama to take urgent steps by reshuffling key security appointments as a demonstration of the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and restoring public trust in the nation’s security architecture.…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
