President Mahama Succession: Names of three (3) big NDC men pops up
The latest Global InfoAnalytics poll shows that the race to succeed President John Dramani Mahama in 2029 is becoming very competitive, with no single candidate clearly ahead of the rest.

According to the poll, the contest has now turned into a tight three-horse race after the Vice President’s entry shifted support away from some aspirants. Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu is still leading with 26 percent support, although this is a drop from the 29 percent he recorded in October 2025.
Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has climbed to second place with 23 percent, up from 18 percent in the previous poll. He is closely followed by NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who has 22 percent support, down from 24 percent in October 2025.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is in fourth place with 11 percent. She is followed by Julius Debrah with 7 percent and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa with 6 percent. Professor Joshua Alabi and Eric Opoku both recorded 2 percent each.

In that case, he leads with 48 percent support, ahead of Asiedu Nketia, who gets 41 percent. Joshua Alabi and Eric Opoku trail behind with 6 percent and 5 percent respectively.
