Prioritise your education; I regret a lot now – Kyeiwaa advises youth
Veteran Kumawood actress Rose Akua Attaa Mensah, also known as Kyeiwaa, has advised Ghanaian youth to prioritise education, highlighting its importance, especially when living abroad.
Since relocating to the US, Kyeiwaa revealed that her limited educational background has posed challenges, particularly in communication.
She discussed how her difficulty in speaking English has hindered her communication with people on a daily basis, highlighting how crucial education is for anyone hoping to live or work in a developed nation.
The actress also noted that a lack of formal education can hinder job opportunities, access to services, and social integration.
“While your parents are struggling to cater for your education, don’t let it be in vain. Don’t avoid education, go to school. You would not see the impact now when you abandon school, you will become as I am finding it difficult to speak English…I have experienced same and advising you,” Kyeiwaa noted in a post on Instagram, November 26, 2024.
Social media users responded well to her honest advise by expressing gratitude and reflecting on their own experiences.
