Rare video of Daddy Lumba’s funeral setup surfaces
A video circulating online shows preparations for Daddy Lumba’s funeral taking place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The clip, shared by Zionfelix on December 11, 2025, was captioned, “Preparations busily underway for Daddy Lumba’s funeral in Kumasi.”
In the short Instagram video, people are seen setting up canopies, a stage, and other equipment for the ceremony. The team can also be heard playing one of the late musician’s popular songs, “Yentie Obiaa.”
Meanwhile, some of Daddy Lumba’s immediate family members are expected to appear before the Accra High Court on December 12, 2025. The court is set to give a final ruling on an injunction they filed over the release of his body and control of his Memorial Foundation account.
What is the injunction about?
Five individuals who say they are maternal relatives of the late musician, Obaapanyin Afia Adomah Pakoso, Robert Gyamfi also known as Wofa Yaw Poku Asuafua, Georgina Gyamfi, Ernestina Fosuh, and Nana Afia Kobi Pakoso, have taken the matter to the Accra High Court.
In a writ filed on December 3, they asked the court to order Transitions Funeral Home to keep custody of Daddy Lumba’s body unless they give approval for its release.
They also want the court to freeze and regulate access to the Daddy Lumba Memorial Foundation account at CAL Bank, which was created to support funeral expenses and related activities.
