Richard Ofori writes Bawumia to be his running mate

Mr. Richard Ofori, a parliamentary candidate hopeful of the NPP in the Guan Constituency if the Oti Region has said with utmost confidence that he is the best candidate to partner the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to win the seat for the ruling party in 2024.

Mr. Ofori insists he is the best candidate to break the #8 with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 crucial election when elected as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate.

“I am the candidate who can break the #8 with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the Guan constituency, when the delegates of our great party elect me as the parliamentary candidate”, he emphasized.

Speaking in an interview with this reporter, Mr. Richard Ofori who is an Electrical Engineer and Tutor at Mfantsipim SHS, said that he is the true choice of the people; and “even the NDC and majority of the floating voters believe in me”.

He thus prayed the NPP delegates would give him an overwhelming endorsement in the upcoming party’s primary.

Mr. Ofori is seeking to become the first ever parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Guan Constituency and possibly the first ever Member of Parliament.

He touted his vision of promoting quality education, quality healthcare, economic empowerment, agriculture and delegates welfare among others.

Mr. Richard Ofori is a member of the Council of Patrons of the Guan NPP, and supported the construction of party offices in three communities, namely; Likpe Bakua, Likpe Nkwanta, Likpe Todome.

He served as polling agent at polling stations during the 2016 and 2020 national elections.

He is also a philanthropist engaging in developmental activities in his community including the construction of toilet and sanitation facilities across the constituency, donation of food items, toiletries and essential medical equipment to support the aged, women and the vulnerable.
