Second Chance bus crash: 2 dead
At least two people have reportedly died following a fatal road accident involving a bus transporting members of the Believers Worship Centre, also known as Second Chance, on the Assin Fosu–Kumasi Highway on January 1, 2025.

According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the bus was carrying church members from Assin Fosu and Breman Asikuma who were returning from the church’s mega 31st Night crossover service held in Kumasi when the accident occurred.
The report said the crash happened at Assin Dansame after the bus rammed into a crowd that was taking part in a street parade.
The deceased were identified as a 21-year-old apprentice and a student of Sunyani Technical University named Maame Yaa, as well as another individual. All reportedly died on the spot.
In addition to the fatalities, 21 other people sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to several hospitals across the Central Region for treatment.
