Obuobia Darko-Opoku, who shared a close relationship with the late minister, poured out her grief in an emotional Facebook post.

The funeral committee has confirmed that Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, will be buried according to Islamic customs.
A statement from the Presidency on Saturday, August 9, 2025, said the two will be laid to rest in Accra after the burial rites.
In her tribute, the Ghanaian politician and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) expressed her pain and sought answers from God about the tragic loss.
“Dear Lord… I have just one question… Why?🥹. Signed, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku,” she wrote.
Obuobia Darko-Opoku had known Dr. Omane Boamah for many years, and over time, their professional relationship grew into a deep personal bond.
