Serial iPhone thief tormenting customers in Circle caught

A Nigerian man who allegedly stole an iPhone at Circle in Accra last year has landed himself in serious trouble after reportedly attempting the same crime at the same location.

This time, however, his plan backfired. He was caught by some of the very individuals he had previously targeted. A viral video making the rounds on social media shows the man being confronted and slapped multiple times by an angry crowd before he was handed over to the police.

Eyewitnesses say the suspect had been loitering around the area for a while, appearing confident and acting as though he could carry out another theft without being noticed. But his return to the scene of the earlier incident proved to be a costly mistake.

His arrest has sparked a wave of online reactions. While some social media users found the situation ironic, others questioned his boldness and lack of caution. Many also highlighted the need for tighter security at Circle, which has long been known as a hotspot for phone snatching and petty theft.

The police have confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing. He is expected to face charges, possibly as a repeat offender.
