Suspected kidnappers kidnap man 5 days to his wedding

NIGERIA—The family of a Benue man, Tartenger Terdue James, has been thrown into panic after he was abducted by suspected kidnappers five days before his wedding.

James was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday evening, December 9, 2025, while travelling to Cross River State to purchase palm oil for his traditional marriage scheduled for Saturday, December 13, in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

Relatives said the abductors are demanding N3 million and have threatened to kill him and dump his body by the roadside if the ransom is not paid.
