The Bible said there would be false prophets, by Saturday we will know those false ones – Former NPP MP

Former Member of Parliament for Suhum, Fred Opare Ansah, has warned pastors who have prophesied against former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026, to reconsider their actions.

According to him, pastors whose prophecies fail to come true after the primaries will be exposed and branded as fake if they do not retract them in time.

Speaking in an interview on Movement TV on January 29, 2026, Opare Ansah said the Bible clearly warns about the rise of false prophets in the end times, adding that the outcome of the NPP primaries will reveal whose prophecies are truly from God.

“The Bible has said that in the end times there would be false prophets, and by Saturday we will know those false prophets. Most of them have prophesied that different candidates will win. If they are serving the same God, who is a truthful God, then only one person will win. That would be the true voice of God, and the other would be a lie,” he said.

He stressed that pastors who have made inaccurate prophecies still have the opportunity to reverse them before the primaries.

“If they don’t want trouble, and if anybody has given a false prophecy, the person has up to today to reverse what he said before it is too late. Otherwise, I will make sure that a fake tag is added to their names if their prophecies do not come true,” he warned.

In recent weeks, several pastors have issued prophecies about the upcoming NPP primaries, with some predicting victory for former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, while others have forecast a win for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

This has sparked what many observers describe as a battle of prophets ahead of the primaries, which will select the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.

One of the key figures in this prophetic contest is Prophet Bernard El Bernard Nelson-Eshun, the General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, who has consistently prophesied that Kennedy Agyapong will win the primaries. He has also stated that Dr Bawumia “cannot become the flagbearer” of the party.

Prophet El Bernard, who has previously been praised for accurately predicting national events, including presidential election outcomes, now finds himself at the centre of intense scrutiny as several other well-known prophets have openly contradicted his prophecy.

Among those predicting victory for Dr Bawumia is Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Church, who said he saw Bawumia snatch victory from another leading contender he referred to as “Mr Tesite.”

Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, founder of Reign House Chapel, has also declared that Bawumia has already won the primaries and that the outcome is sealed.

Prophet Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roga, has likewise predicted a Bawumia victory, calling on his supporters to celebrate ahead of the polls.

In addition, Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi of Conquerors Chapel in Kumasi has prophesied that Bawumia will win the primaries by a wide margin, including victories in 14 out of the 16 regions.

Prophet William Braham of Realm of Light Church has predicted that Bawumia will secure about 70 per cent of the total votes cast, while Prophet Telvin Sowah Adjei and Prophet Elijah Kofi King have also stated that the former Vice President will emerge as the NPP flagbearer.

With the primaries just days away, attention is now firmly on the outcome, which many believe will not only shape the future of the NPP but also determine the credibility of the many competing prophecies surrounding the contest…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
