The biggest swimming pool, the cathedral – Adom Kyei warns Mahama
Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Center, Rev Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, has advised President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress government to stay focused on running the country and ignore renewed calls for the completion of the National Cathedral.

His comment follows an appeal from the Christian Council of Ghana asking the new administration to consider finishing the controversial project.
Speaking during a church service, Rev Adom Kyei Duah questioned why the government should be involved in building a religious facility and argued that such projects should not rely on state resources.
“I am advising the NDC government to remain focused. The biggest swimming pool… if God wants a cathedral, would it have anything to do with the government? When Muslims build mosques, do you see any of them going to government?” he said.
He urged President Mahama to place national development and economic management ahead of what he described as a project that is unnecessary for the government to fund.
