The Ghana Armed Forces has revealed that an Air Force helicopter, Z9, is currently off the radar

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has confirmed that an Air Force helicopter, Z9, en route to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, has gone off radar.

In a statement released on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, GAF disclosed that the helicopter departed from Accra at 9:12 a.m. with three crew members and five passengers on board.

This announcement follows shortly after reports of a helicopter crash at Adansi Brofoyedu—an aircraft that was found completely burnt after allegedly crashing into a tree. No survivors were seen at the scene, and the cause of the crash remains unclear.

While GAF has not confirmed whether the helicopter involved in the Adansi Brofoyedu crash is their missing Z9 aircraft, the statement noted that efforts are ongoing to establish contact with the missing helicopter and gather further details…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
