The only country in the world that has no poor people

It’s amazing to think, but there is a country where virtually no one is poor.

Which country has no destitute or struggling individuals? The answer is Monaco, a small European nation.

Monaco’s stunning coastline and beautiful landscape certainly attract wealthy residents, but its tiny size also plays a key role in its strong economy. It is the second-smallest country in the world, after Vatican City, yet its population density is the highest of any country.

According to the CIA World Factbook, the citizens of Monaco are not considered poor. Despite covering just two square kilometers—smaller than New York City’s Central Park—the country hosts world-famous events like the Monaco Yacht Show and the Monaco Grand Prix, and remains home to a large number of millionaires.

Monaco’s GDP per capita is a staggering $165,420, the second-highest globally. On average, residents have wealth of about $2.1 million. Even the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, Albert II, is reported to be worth around $1 billion.
