Sometimes the distance doesn’t start with a fight, a mistake, or another person. Sometimes, she just becomes quieter. Less available. Her texts get shorter, her laughter fades, and you’re left wondering what changed and why she’s pulling away.

Many people assume it’s about someone else or that love is gone. But often, it’s something deeper and quieter: emotional exhaustion. Women, especially in emotionally one-sided relationships, often stay silent while their needs go unmet. They hold space for your struggles, dreams, and pain, but no one notices when they start drowning in theirs.

She may be the strong one, the dependable one, the one who always says “it’s okay” even when it’s not. But when someone gives without receiving, they eventually run out. So if you feel her drifting, don’t react with frustration. Don’t accuse her of changing. Instead, sit down and really ask how she’s doing. Without interrupting. Without defending yourself. Just listen.

Small things matter — noticing her tired eyes, asking how her day really went, or remembering what she says in passing. These moments rebuild trust and tell her: You’re seen. You’re safe. You’re still loved.
