The results were disappointing – Kwabena Agyepong
New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has described the provisional results of the party’s flagbearer race as disappointing, while urging party members to remain united and work together moving forward.

Provisional results show former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia leading with over 55 per cent of the votes, with Mr Agyepong and three other contenders trailing behind.
Speaking after results began emerging on Saturday, January 31, Mr Agyepong accepted the outcome but commended the efforts of his campaign team.
“I would say that the results are very disappointing, but it is politics. I take pride in your dedication, your efforts, your commitment to this strategy.”
He emphasised the need for unity within the party, saying the collective decision of members must be respected.
“I am comfortable that at the end of the day, the majority of the party has made a decision. It is now time for us to work in harmony, respect for one another, work together, and present the best version of ourselves to the Ghanaian people so we can earn their respect and trust.”
Mr Agyepong added that most of the results had already been received and said he had congratulated the leading candidate.
“We’ve received most of the results of this election. I have just called Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to congratulate him on the victory, and we are awaiting the official statement from the EC,” he said…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
