French Ligue 1 side Nantes and the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been dealt a huge blow as winger Simon Moses will miss the remainder of the 2023–24 season due to injury.
According to Nantes, the 28-year-old suffered a fractured fibula and will not be able to play for the next three months.
“Moses Simon was injured yesterday against Mali. Our Nigerian striker suffers from a broken fibula, which means the end of the season,” the club said in a statement.
“FC Nantes is already keen to provide its full support to its attacker and wishes him a speedy recovery.”
The winger will miss the Super Eagle’s World Cup qualifiers in June against South Africa.
