Cancer is often described as a “silent disease” because it can develop in the body without clear symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage.

Still, there are unusual signs that may indicate something is wrong. One commonly overlooked sign is ongoing fatigue that does not improve with rest. Unlike normal tiredness linked to stress or daily activities, cancer-related fatigue is often severe and persistent.
Unexplained weight loss or sudden changes in appetite, without changes to diet or exercise, can also be a warning sign.
Changes in the skin may provide early clues as well. New moles, changes in the size or color of existing ones, or skin that becomes unusually dark or itchy can sometimes signal cancer.

Unusual swelling in areas like the neck, armpits, or groin can point to lymph node involvement. Ongoing pain in the bones, back, or abdomen that has no clear cause should also be taken seriously.
