Ghanaian actor turned pastor, Papa Nii, was recently seen at a major Christian conference in Accra, where several of the country’s top clergymen gathered.

A video of Papa Nii, whose real name is Henry Harding and who is popularly known in showbiz as Pattington Papa Nii Papafio, surfaced online on August 24, 2025, showing him arriving at the event.
The veteran actor, well remembered for his role in the classic TV series Taxi Driver and fondly nicknamed “Oesophagus,” wore a cassock along with a clerical skullcap, an accessory usually associated with bishops.
The programme, dubbed the Fire Conference, was hosted by Apostle Solom Oduro and attracted prominent religious leaders, including Kwadwo Bempah of the Assemblies of God Church and Prophet Fire Oja.
Papa Nii’s presence at the event drew wide attention on social media, as many expressed excitement over his public appearance after being away from the entertainment scene for years.
The actor, who officially left acting to pursue full-time ministry, was ordained as a pastor in November 2017.
