WAEC opens up on relocating to Nigeria
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied reports that it will relocate its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria.
WAEC responded to media reports that it was relocating to Nigeria due to financial difficulties, sparking discussions about a possible move.
However, WAEC’s Head of Public Relations, John Kapi, has denied the reports, claiming that no such decision has been made.
“There hasn’t been any discussion in this direction. So the law that established WAEC indicates that the headquarters of WAEC will be situated here in Accra.
“Ever since, there has not been any change to that. So, I guess that we cannot confirm that we have had any such discussions, and there are no plans as such.”
