Watch moment Ofori Amponsah visited Daddy Lumba’s house
Veteran highlife musician Ofori Amponsah paid a visit to the residence of his mentor, Daddy Lumba, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, following the latter’s passing.
A TikTok video posted by blogger Tina News GH captured the Sardine hitmaker arriving at the late icon’s East Legon home to mourn with the family and loved ones.
Appearing visibly emotional, Ofori Amponsah addressed bloggers gathered outside the plush residence. He urged Ghanaians to show love toward one another and live in peace and harmony.
Reflecting on the legacy of Daddy Lumba, he encouraged people to learn from the celebrated musician’s achievements throughout his career, which spanned more than four decades.
“Just like Papa (Daddy Lumba) used to say when he was still alive, we should all love one another. We should not fight and backbite one another. We should also look at the good work he did and take a cue from it,” he said.
