WATCH: Ofosu-Ampofo steals the spotlight at KIA as he arrives from London

Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flocked to Kotoka International Airport on May 23, 2024, to see their former chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, who had returned from London after more than a year.

Ofosu Ampofo’s comeback is considered a benefit for the NDC, as he has stated his intention to support former President John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 election.

The fans, dressed in party attire, chanted and drummed to celebrate their leader’s return home.

Addressing the crowd, Ofosu Ampofo conveyed his gratitude and discussed his thoughts on the party’s current leadership.

“I’ve spoken with the party’s leadership, and I believe they’re doing an excellent job. I’d like to thank them on their efforts. From the national chairman to the national executives, regions, and constituencies. “I think they are doing a great job,” he said.

He also praised the achievements of John Dramani Mahama, referring to him as “the next president of Ghana.”

Ofosu Ampofo complimented Mahama’s dedication and efforts, stating, “I also want to commend the flagbearer, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for the outstanding work that he is doing.

“I know his commitment, his love, and his passion and desire to take this country away from the current government…

“I want to thank God for bringing me back and I want to thank His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for the massive support that he rendered to me while I was away, the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin for the support, and several others for the support,” he added.
