WATCH: Owusu-Bempah drags Akufo-Addo, NPP to the gutters

The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has strongly criticised the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for allegedly breaking promises he says they made to him.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, October 19, 2025, Rev Owusu-Bempah accused the previous administration of reneging on agreements after he helped them win power.

He said they had promised to do certain things for him if he supported them, but those promises were not honoured once he delivered.

“Sometime ago, we worked for nothing, we worked in vain. We fasted and prayed for nothing. They reneged on all the promises they made to us. Because of this, we had to make them go home. We needed to put them in a cage; some were pushed into the forest.

“You make a promise to me and fail to keep it. I fulfilled my side of the deal but you reneged on yours; then the God of David would punish you… When you labour, you must enjoy its fruits,” he said in the Twi dialect.

He added, “Some people deceived me sometime past… This time around we are not going to suffer for nothing. If you joke, we will push your car into a ditch.”

Rev Owusu-Bempah went on to praise the current John Dramani Mahama administration and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying they have honoured their commitments to him.
