We are in deep mourning and respectfully ask for privacy – Nana Konadu’s family
The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has appealed for privacy as they mourn her passing on Thursday, October 23.

At a brief press conference held at her Ridge residence in Accra, the family head, Oheneba Lovelace Prempeh, said that details about the burial of Ghana’s first female presidential candidate will be announced by the President in due course.
He explained that the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has also been formally informed of the passing of the wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
“The family has informed His Excellency the President, who, in turn, caused a statement to be issued confirming Nana Konadu’s death. At this stage, we are in deep mourning and respectfully ask for privacy. All further announcements will be made by the government,” Oheneba Lovelace Prempeh stated.
