We are not ready to hand over power to NDC, we will fight if we have to – NPP MP

A shocking audio has surfaced online, featuring an unidentified New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) boasting about the party’s willingness to fight for power, even if it means risking lives.

The MP claimed that eight individuals were ‘sacrificed’ during the 2020 general election to secure NPP’s victory.

The MP’s remarks have sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning the inflammatory language and allegations of violence. The audio has raised concerns about the country’s political tensions and the potential for violence in the upcoming election.

In the audio, the MP narrated how the eight individuals were allegedly used to pave the way for NPP’s victory in 2020. He also made disturbing comments about the party’s willingness to go to great lengths to maintain power, even using family members as sacrifices if necessary.

The MP continued that former president John Dramani Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) can do anything humanly possible to win this year’s election but they won’t have power as they are not ready to allow them to assume any position.

He again narrated how Parliament sometimes buys opposition MPs during decision-making, emphasizing how influential the NPP has become and what they intend to do come December 2024.
