The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Bosiako, popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’, says his party cannot afford to lose the upcoming December 7 general election to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, the NPP will go the extra mile to ensure that the party remain in power with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as president.
Speaking at the campaign launch in Kumasi over the weekend, Chairman Wontumi denied allegations that the NPP is divided in its stronghold, the Ashanti Region.
He maintained that the party was more united than before and ready to work for victory.
“We cannot allow Mahama and the NDC to win this election; we are winning, we are breaking the 8, this is for us. We are breaking the 8. The NPP is united and stronger,” Chairman Wontumi cheerfully told party members.
