We don’t want a braggart who lies – NPP’s Tony Aidoo drags Kennedy Agyapong
Former Ghanaian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Dr Tony Aidoo, has publicly questioned Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s suitability to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urging him to withdraw from the party’s presidential flagbearer race.

As the NPP prepares for its primary on Saturday, January 31, 2026, delegates will vote to select the party’s candidate for the 2028 general election. The contest features five aspirants: former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, Abetifi MP and former Minister for Food and Agriculture Dr Bryan Acheampong, Bosomtwe MP and former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong.
Speaking on Joy FM on Friday, January 30, Dr Aidoo singled out Kennedy Agyapong, describing him as unfit for the presidency.
“So far among the candidates, personally, I think Kennedy Agyapong should opt out,” he said. He added, “We don’t want a braggart who lies about people to be our president.”…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
