We sacrificed our lives to give you power in 2016, but you turned on us – Delta Force boss attacks NPP
A man claiming to be the leader of the disbanded vigilante group Delta Force, which was affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has taken to social media to openly celebrate the party’s recent challenges—particularly the violent scenes that unfolded during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun.

Identifying himself as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of Delta Force, the middle-aged man appeared in a viral video expressing satisfaction over what he described as the NPP facing the consequences of its own actions. He accused the party of betraying the group after the 2016 elections.
“We sacrificed our lives to secure power for the NPP in 2016,” he stated. “But when the party won, they turned on us. We were arrested, prosecuted, and remanded just because we asked for employment. Then they went on to pass a law to disband us.”
Referring to the chaos during the rerun, he warned that it was only a glimpse of what was to come. He suggested that both Delta Force and the Invisible Force—a sister vigilante group once linked to the NPP—should feel vindicated by the recent events.
“What happened in Ablekuma North is small. The NPP has not seen anything yet,” he warned.
He also claimed that despite being officially disbanded, he still has authority over group members, stating that they remain inactive solely because of his instruction.
“When I speak, the boys listen. When I command them to move, they do. When I order them to sleep, they sleep—and they are sleeping now,” he declared.
One of the most alarming parts of the video was his prediction about the upcoming Akwatia by-election.
“This is a prophecy,” he claimed. “A leader of the NPP will die during the Akwatia by-election. The thugs will kill one bigwig to show you that you were not wise in the way you dealt with us.”
He went on to urge former vigilante members not to offer any form of protection to the NPP during the by-election.
“Let the NPP leadership bring their mothers, wives, and children to protect them. You fooled us once—it won’t happen again,” he said.
Delta Force and the Invisible Force were among several political vigilante groups disbanded under the 2019 Vigilantism and Related Offences Act, a law passed to curb political violence following repeated clashes during elections.
