Woman narates why she’ll rather stay single than be submissive to a man
A Nigerian woman has sparked conversation online after revealing why she refuses to be submissive to any man.
According to her, the idea that women must always be submissive to their husbands is outdated and not something she believes in. She stated firmly that the word “submissive” does not exist in her dictionary and never will.
The woman, who has been married for over 42 years, explained that her strong stance comes from her past experience. She recounted how, in her first marriage, she went above and beyond to please her husband — doing everything expected of a “good wife” — only to be betrayed and cheated on in the end.
Because of that painful experience, she vowed never to lose her sense of independence again. She also revealed that she plans to pass this mindset on to her daughters, teaching them not to allow any man to take advantage of them in the name of submission.
