Member of Parliament for Tano North, Gideon Boako, has described the Member of Parliament for Nhyeaso, Dr Stephen Amoah, as a bigot.

According to him, the only reason Sticka refused to support his bid to become Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser in the past was because of tribal considerations.
He said the legislator has over the years shown tribal tendencies and should not be given any attention.
Gideon Boako’s remarks follow claims by Stephen Amoah that former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wanted to appoint him as Minister of Finance, but Dr Mahamudu Bawumia preferred someone from the North.
“Tribalism was the only consideration why Sticka campaigned against me for the position of Ashanti regional youth organizer despite being a close friend and knowing I was the best candidate. He has been a tribal bigot since,” he said.
He further called on New Patriotic Party delegates to treat Sticka’s comments with a pinch of salt, stressing that the remarks do not affect the Bawumia campaign.
Gideon Boako described the allegations made by Hon Stephen Amoah, also known as Sticka, as false and illogical, adding that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team will not be distracted by what he called desperate attempts to promote tribalism and bigotry ahead of the NPP presidential primaries.
