Young Ghanaian man arrested in London for rape
A 35-year-old Ghanaian man living in London, identified as Patrick Kwaku Dunyo, has been arrested and removed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers after arriving at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Dunyo was detained on Saturday, November 22, 2025, when he was flagged as a fugitive wanted by London authorities for alleged child rape charges. According to a report on cbp.gov, he arrived on a flight from Frankfurt, Germany, while being sought by the London Metropolitan Police Service for allegedly raping a 16-year-old and committing sexual assault during an incident reported to have occurred on November 21.
London law enforcement learned that Dunyo had boarded a flight to the United States and quickly coordinated with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations attaché at the U.S. Embassy in London to ensure he was intercepted on arrival.
CBP officers confirmed his identity and determined that he was inadmissible to the United States. He was permitted to withdraw his application for entry and was returned to London, where local authorities arrested him.
Christine Waugh, CBP Area Port Director for Washington, DC, said the incident shows how global cooperation helps ensure justice for victims.
“Dulles airport may be about 3,700 miles from London, but this apprehension proves that authorities working together across the globe can ensure justice for all… CBP helps victims to have a voice by working with our law enforcement partners, both stateside and overseas, to capture wanted fugitives and return them to justice,” she said.
Ricardo Mayoral, the Homeland Security Investigations Assistant Director of International Operations, added that Dunyo’s removal reflects their commitment to protecting vulnerable victims.
“The successful removal of Patrick Dunyo, who was sought by London authorities in connection with serious child exploitation charges, demonstrates the unwavering commitment of Homeland Security Investigations to safeguarding the most vulnerable among us,” he stated…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
