Ashantis are too arrogant and Ga’s don’t respect – Counselot Lutterodt

Controversial relationship coach, Counselor Lutterodt, has sparked outrage online after making tribal remarks while commenting on the case involving Seyram Deborah.

Speaking on Angel FM, Counselor Lutterodt questioned why a woman from the Ewe ethnic group would be involved in what he described as an “evil” and “bedeviling” act. He expressed surprise, claiming that such behavior is not typical of Ewes.

In the course of his comments, Lutterodt dragged other ethnic groups into the discussion, including the Ga, Ashanti, and Northern communities.

He claimed that Ga people generally don’t show respect to others because “they believe Accra belongs to them.” Turning his attention to Ashantis, he described them as “very arrogant.” As for Northerners, Counselor Lutterodt labeled them as “extremely the most wicked among the other tribes.”

His statements have sparked heavy backlash, with many calling his remarks divisive, offensive, and unacceptable in a country that prides itself on unity in diversity. There are growing calls on media regulators and civil society groups to address the increasing use of tribal stereotypes in public discourse.
