AUDIO: God has appointed Kennedy Agyapong – NPP MP

Nhyiaeso MP Dr. Stephen Amoah has declared that former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong is the right choice to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as its next flagbearer.

Dr. Amoah, a member of Agyapong’s campaign team, likened him to the biblical “Joshua” chosen to lead Ghana to its promised land. Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, he said Agyapong’s leadership is divinely ordained and his team remains committed to their mission.

Quoting 2 Timothy 1:7 — “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” — Dr. Amoah said:
“He is the Joshua. God has appointed him to take Ghana to our promised land. If the NPP wants him, fine. But if not, there is no need to intimidate or cause fear, because God has not given us the spirit of timidity.”

He added:

“The deceit, lies and manipulation will not take us anywhere. If we want to adopt a Cinderella syndrome—knowing who the shoe fits but keeping him locked away—it is unto us.”

Dr. Amoah’s comments follow the public endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by over 60 NPP MPs in support of his second presidential bid. He described the endorsements as propaganda and claimed that some MPs, especially first-timers, were being pressured to publicly back Bawumia.

He urged those MPs to stand firm and not yield to intimidation or blackmail.
