Christians won’t vote for a Muslim to be President – Ken Agyapong’s Spokesperson
Dr. Stephen Amoah, NPP MP for Nhyiaeso and a top campaigner for Kennedy Agyapong, has sparked controversy with religious remarks during an event with the NPP students’ wing in Kumasi.
Known as “Sticka,” Dr. Amoah claimed Christians in Ghana are reluctant to support a Muslim leader, saying, “Whether we like it or not, Christians hardly want to vote for a Muslim leader. It is a fact.”
He continued, “We all know—why are we lying to ourselves?” and added, “Acknowledge yourself and your problem but we can find solutions to them, rather than saying [they don’t exist].”
His comments have drawn criticism from many Ghanaians, who labelled them as “discriminatory and disrespectful.”
