Ghana has won the most foolish country award – Shatta Wale rain insults on Ghanaians
Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has stirred intense public backlash after calling on former US President Donald Trump to ban Ghanaians from entering the United States.
In a controversial live video circulating online, the “On God” hitmaker lashed out at Ghanaians, describing them in harsh terms and accusing them of envy and hatred for successful people.
“Stupid people in this country. If anybody knows Donald Trump’s account, tag him for me,” he said in an angry outburst.
Shatta Wale went further to claim that Ghanaians are among the most unsupportive people in the world. “They are the most stupid people in the world. Ghana has won the most foolish country award. It’s the only country where people wish for others to fail,” he ranted.
His comments come in the wake of growing criticism and speculation linking him to recent FBI operations in Ghana following the arrest of businessman Kofi Boat over an alleged $100 million fraud. Some social media users have even called for his arrest, suspecting ties to fraudulent activities.
Shatta Wale, however, denied any wrongdoing, saying he has no reason to fear anyone. He maintained that he lives a clean life and prefers to mind his own business.
Despite his denial, many Ghanaians have expressed outrage over his comments, labelling them as deeply offensive and unpatriotic. Social media platforms have been flooded with responses condemning the artiste for what many view as an attack on the nation and its people.
Calls have intensified for public figures to exercise restraint in their speech, especially during times of heightened national sensitivity.
