Ghanaian musician Reggie Zippy sadly opens on ex-wife killing him

Ghanaian musician Reggie Zippy has drawn public attention and concern after releasing a raw, emotional video online in which he accused his former wife, Edith Ward, of causing him ongoing emotional distress following their divorce.

In the video, which was reportedly seen by MyNewsGh, the singer did not hold back as he spoke candidly about his current struggles with mental health. Reggie revealed that he is undergoing treatment and relies on daily medication just to stay stable.

“Listen to me, I’m telling you this, yeah. If anything should happen to me, I’m already battling mental health,” he said. “If you think I’m lying, I can show you all my fing medications that I have to take every fing single day just so I can function as a normal human being.”

Visibly distressed and emotional, Reggie went on to accuse Edith Ward of worsening his condition despite their separation, suggesting that her actions continue to haunt him long after their divorce was finalized.

“You are killing me behind the scenes. What have I done to you? What the f*** have I done to you?” he asked. “Is it my fault that you are so ungrateful? Is it my fault that you didn’t realise you had a good man whom you didn’t treat well?”

He further alleged that she had disrespected him in the presence of their children, contributing to the emotional weight he carries.

“Is it my fault that you had me to yourself and disrespected me to my face, to my children—and you continue to do that?” he said. “Is it my fault that you fing divorced me? Am I the only human being, or the only man you’ve ever been with? Fing leave me alone.”

Reggie, whose real name is Reginald Ainooson, also expressed anger and confusion over the stigma he says he faces as a divorced man, claiming that it is making it difficult for him to live freely and move on with his life.

“What more do you want? I can’t live my life just because I’ve been divorced? Is it not men who are accused of pursuing…?” he said before abruptly cutting off the video.

This is not the first time the former Reggie ‘n’ Bollie member has spoken publicly about his divorce. However, the intensity and emotional tone of this latest video have raised serious concerns among fans and followers, with many expressing worry over his mental well-being.

Industry colleagues and supporters have since called for compassion, urging the public to be sensitive to Reggie’s situation and encouraging him to seek professional help if needed.
