Ghanaians crushing on NPP’s youngest National Women’s Organiser hopeful
Perpetual Ekua Lomokie, a rising star in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Deputy National Youth Organiser, has officially announced her decision to contest for the position of National Women’s Organiser of the party.
If she wins, she will make history as the youngest person ever to hold that important national role within the NPP.
Lomokie, who is well known in political circles for her energy, intelligence, and dedication to women’s empowerment, made her bold declaration in a statement released on Wednesday, May 22, 2025.
She is also the founding president of the Loyal Ladies, an all-female volunteer group that played a massive role in mobilising support for the NPP during the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Lomokie’s Vision: A New Era for NPP Women

Perpetual Lomokie says her dream is simple but powerful — to raise women across the party to positions of influence and leadership, not just in name, but in action.
“My vision is to create opportunities for women across all levels of the party to thrive, contribute meaningfully, and rise to positions of leadership,” she stated.
She believes that the women of the NPP are strong, capable, and ready to lead, but they need a leader who will listen to them, learn from them, and lead with compassion and purpose.
Her mission is to build a vibrant women’s wing that is inclusive, united, and highly motivated to deliver victory in the 2028 general elections.
A Call for Unity, Trust, and Strategic Leadership
Lomokie did not shy away from addressing the current state of the party. She admitted that the NPP is facing challenges following the painful defeat in the 2024 general elections, and now is the time to rebuild trust, ignite passion, and reposition the party.
She explained that the party must elect leaders who understand grassroots mobilisation, connect with everyday people, and have the energy and ideas to bring back confidence among its supporters.
“We need leaders who resonate with the voter population, especially women and the youth. We must connect with students, market women, seamstresses, hairdressers, and young professionals,” Lomokie said.
She added that it’s time to go beyond slogans and promises and deliver action that can be felt at the constituency and polling station levels.
From Loyal Ladies to National Leadership

Perpetual Lomokie is not new to leadership. Through Loyal Ladies, she helped train and mobilise thousands of young women across the country to support the NPP’s campaign efforts.
Under her leadership, Loyal Ladies became one of the most recognisable and effective women-led groups in the party, using social media, community engagement, and event planning to rally support for the NPP.
Her ability to organise, inspire, and coordinate young women has earned her the respect of both senior party members and grassroots supporters.
“I have seen what women can do when they are united and resourced,” she said. “We are not just cheerleaders. We are changemakers.”
Why Lomokie Says She’s the Right Person for the Job
Lomokie believes that 2025 and beyond require a new kind of leadership— one that understands the current generation and the changing face of politics.
She is confident that she brings the right blend of youth, experience, and energy to help the party not just regain power, but also to transform the way it engages with women.
“The women of our party are full of potential. But too often, they are under-utilised. We need to empower them to take on roles beyond just singing at rallies,” she noted.
She says her focus will be on three key pillars:
Empowerment – giving women at all levels of the party tools, training, and access to opportunities.
Engagement – ensuring constant dialogue between the leadership and the grassroots.
Mobilisation – building structures that can win back votes, especially from young women and swing constituencies.
Political Background and Contributions
Lomokie served as Deputy National Youth Organiser during a crucial period in the NPP’s history and worked closely with various party organs, helping to shape youth policies and outreach.
She was also instrumental in connecting the party with female student groups, professional associations, and informal sector workers like traders and artisans.
Many believe that her political journey, though still young, has already demonstrated maturity, vision, and a heart for service.
What Her Candidacy Means for the Party
Lomokie’s bid comes at a time when many party members are calling for a new wave of leadership, especially among the youth and women’s wings of the party.
Her entry into the race for National Women’s Organiser is expected to energise younger women, many of whom have felt sidelined in recent years.
Some political observers say she represents the future of the NPP — a party that must modernise its structures and expand its appeal if it wants to compete effectively with the NDC in 2028.
A Message of Hope to NPP Women
In concluding her declaration, Perpetual Lomokie sent a passionate message to NPP women across Ghana:
“To every woman who believes in this party, to every girl who dreams of being a leader one day, this is our moment. Let’s rise together. Let’s organise, mobilise, and energise the NPP to take back power in 2028.”
She has called on delegates and party faithful to support her vision, promising to bring renewed life, modern ideas, and unity to the women’s wing of the NPP.
Conclusion: A New Chapter or Just Another Contest?
Whether Lomokie wins or not, her decision to contest has already sparked excitement and conversation within the party. It is clear that she represents a generation of bold, focused women who are no longer content with just clapping and singing on the sidelines — they want to lead, and lead boldly.
