Hajia4Reall finally breaks silence after U.S. Conviction
Ghanaian socialite-turned-musician Hajia4Reall, known in real life as Mona Faiz Montrage, has bounced back into the music scene with a new song titled “Move”. This is her first big release after her legal troubles in the United States.
The song was released just a few days after she came back to Ghana. She had earlier turned herself in to U.S. authorities and served a one-year, one-day sentence for her role in a romance fraud case.
In the song Move, Hajia4Reall opens up about her struggles and shows that she is still strong. She sings boldly:
“I may have been knocked down, but I haven’t given up on myself.”
This line and others in the song make it clear that she is turning her difficult moments into something meaningful—music.
Mona was found guilty in June 2024 for being part of a romance scam syndicate that operated between 2013 and 2019. The group scammed people and businesses in the United States out of huge sums of money.
Because she was already well-known in Ghana’s showbiz circles, the case attracted a lot of attention. She had built a name in entertainment and fashion, so many were shocked by the news.
The U.S. Justice Department sentenced her to one year and one day at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia. Even though the sentence came in June, she turned herself in voluntarily on July 29, 2024. Many people saw this as her way of taking responsibility.
Apart from the prison sentence, Hajia4Real was also asked to give up $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in compensation to those she defrauded.
Now back in Ghana, Hajia4Reall is using music to tell her side of the story. “Move” is full of afrobeat and dancehall vibes. The beat is catchy, but the message is deep.
Through her lyrics, she talks about pain, survival, and starting over. Hajia4Real is sending a message that her past won’t define her future.
