My issue is related to gossip.
I have been married to my wife for the past 7 years now. We lived happily though but my wife has a best friend who kept feeding her with information about anything she saw me doing outside. I didn’t know who was always calling my wife to tell her certain things about me.
Even when done under strict privacy, still this best friend will inform my wife and these created issues at home. At a point my wife tried packing out but my neighbor, who is an elderly woman, pleaded with her not to go and she acquiesced.
Ff, Auntie Abena, I did all I could to know that friend of hers and finally I succeeded. Here is how I found out; one evening, I was in the bedroom and my wife’s phone was on our reading desk while she was in the washroom. A call came through and it was that friend’s name which popped up. I told her she had a call, gave her the phone and went to the hall. After she finished with her call, she came to the hall with a different mood and started questioning me on some issues. That’s when I realized she was the one feeding her with those information.
Later, I met her one time in town and we had a chat and I took her contact. We started vibing. Initially, she was a bit stale about our chat.
So on her birthday a few weeks later, I bought her a Samsung phone and on the package, I added a note with a location where we could meet so I give her a treat. She called to thank me and confirmed her consent. We met a restaurant, ate and got drunk well well.
After that I took her to a guest house and fired her throughout the night. I had told my wife I was going to my station (where I work). The next morning, while we were in bed, I took my phone out and took pictures of two of us.
I now told her, that all along I knew she was the one feeding my wife with my escapades and now that I have these pictures of us together, if I should hear she has gone to tell my wife anything about me I will show them to my wife. Mind you, my wife is a military officer who she loves me so much.
Aunty Abena, now I have had a peaceful home since then.
