I will invite him to stand by me on the pulpit – Adom Kyei-Duah on boxer who wore his sticker
The General Overseer of Believers Worship Center, Adom Kyei-Duah, has expressed his wish to meet Ghanaian boxer Joseph Sackey, following the latter’s recent defeat at the “Battle of the Beats” event held at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
On June 14, 2025, Joseph Sackey became a topic of online discussion after losing his fight to Abdul Khan. What drew even more attention was his choice of ring attire—blue shorts featuring a sticker with the image of Adom Kyei-Duah.
Addressing his congregation, Adom Kyei-Duah said he was moved by the gesture and now wants to meet the boxer in person.
“I am pleading with you to inform him that I want to meet him God willing Sunday. I need that boy. On Sunday, I will invite him to stand by me on the pulpit,” he said.
He explained that the invitation is meant to send a message to his critics and affirm the divine calling on his ministry.
“The reason why I am inviting him is that I want people to know that I have been called by God. I don’t know him but after seeing his video, I fell in love with him,” he added.
The announcement has since sparked a mix of reactions online. While some have applauded the preacher’s gesture as a show of support, others are questioning the intention behind the public invitation.
