I won’t get angry again, I promise – Kennedy Agyapong
Kennedy Agyapong, a leading contender for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2028 flagbearer position, has revealed a key strategy he intends to adopt during the party’s upcoming primaries.
The former Assin Central MP explained that he has realised his opponents lack a solid campaign message, prompting his decision to change his approach.
In a video shared on X, Kennedy Agyapong said he would no longer respond to provocations or react in anger as he has done in the past. He noted that his rivals often provoke him to label him as temperamental, but he is determined to prove them wrong.
“Anyone who says they are coming to speak to annoy Kennedy Agyapong will not succeed. This is because we have seen the solution to their problem. They have no message. They only want evidence for their claim that Kennedy Agyapong is easily angered. Even if someone tries to get me angry, I will not mind the person,” he stated.
He made these comments during a speech at his 65th birthday celebration held in Shiashie, Accra.
Kennedy Agyapong also officially announced his intention to run for the NPP flagbearer slot in the 2028 elections. He believes his track record as a private businessman makes him the ideal candidate to lead Ghana.
“We need someone with ideas. If I am able to create employment for Ghanaians as a private person, then you can imagine what I will do when I become President of the country. These are the messages and examples people don’t want to hear. But that is the truth. I am officially declaring on my birthday that I will contest for the NPP’s flagbearership ahead of the 2028 election,” he said.
“They all say, Kennedy Agyapong gets angry easily so let’s provoke him. I want to tell you that it won’t happen today or tomorrow”
