I’m losing jobs because of the Slay Queen tag on me – Salma Mumin cries

Ghanaian actress and fashion entrepreneur, Salma Mumin, has opened up about how being called a “slay queen” has affected her personal life and career.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Salma shared that the label made some of her colleagues uncomfortable working with her.

She recalled a moment when she got a job opportunity, but one of her colleagues pulled out of the project after finding out she was part of it.

Salma said the experience made her feel very sad and even led to moments of depression. She began to wonder if people simply didn’t like her because of the “slay queen” tag.

“Being tagged as a slay queen had a negative impact on me to the extent that some of my colleagues felt shy to work with me,” she said.
