I’m selling charm, the one I used on Sammy Gyamfi, come and buy – Nana Agradaa
Ghanaian fetish priestess turned preacher, Evangelist Mama Patricia, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has revealed that the reason Sammy Gyamfi gave her circa $800 as a gift was because she was bathed in spiritual oil that gives her favour.
Agradaa delivered a sermon to her congregation on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, in which she addressed the dollar-gift scandal that nearly took down the promising career of the top NDC politician and lawyer currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod).
The controversial preacher turned the encounter, which sparked the first major political scandal of the 2nd Mahama administration, into a marketing tactic, telling her congregants that she has oils, creams, and other charms that she uses, which opens her up to favour and enables her to coerce important people into giving her money.
What Agradaa said
“I’ve always told you that I carry power, and I carry Grace. Listen, we are blessed in this church; God has gifted us powers. God has gifted us a lucky soap, which I bathe with. I bathe myself in oil. God has also given us a spiritual cream, which I use,” Agradaa told her congregation. “If you want anybody to connect with you so that if you open your mouth and say, ‘Give me money,’ they will empty their account and give it to you, just come to Heaven Way Chapel. What are you talking about?”
The preacher further said that whenever a pastor tells you they can do something, have them demonstrate it, because otherwise, they are simply lying to you. She said some pastors claim to be healers yet fail to heal themselves when sick, while others claim they can do so much for you, yet you do not see the favour of God reflected in their own lives.
‘Mama Pat’, as the preacher is known by her congregation, added that she has the favour of God and has been able to demonstrate it by getting dollars from a government official. She then called on Ghanaian women out there who are struggling to get money from their spouses to visit her church for a solution.
“God blessed Honorable Sammy Gyamfi to show that there is power in this church, there is anointing in this church,” Agradaa continued. “If you’re watching me and you ask your husband for money and he doesn’t have it to you, come to Heaven Way Chapel; the lucky oil is working.”
